Following rapid global market expansion Universal Robots has announced Chris Wilson as Vice President of Commercial Operations. In his new position, Chris Wilson oversees all commercial support functions including marketing, product management, sales operations, service and global competence center, tech support, and applications management.
The pioneer and market leader of collaborative robots is expanding its global presence with the hiring of Chris Wilson as VP CO. Chris Wilson comes to Universal Robots from a position as managing director of IT Services Hungary (ITSH), where he managed a staff of 4,500 across multiple locations, focusing on enhancing the customer and employee experience. Prior to this he served in the same role at T-Systems Romania and T-Systems Malaysia.
President of Universal Robots, Jürgen von Hollen, welcomes the new VP CO, emphasizing how Chris Wilson will be key in the rapid expansion process: “Chris Wilson has a proven track record of more than 20 years delivering process driven customer service in small and midsized enterprises and corporate organizations spanning manufacturing, oil and gas, financial and automotive sectors. We are very pleased to have him join our Senior Management Team.”

The new VP CO will be based in Universal Robots’ global headquarters in Odense, Denmark, where he just relocated with his wife Julie. The couple has five adult sons living in the UK and three young granddaughters. Besides spending time with family, Chris Wilson enjoys cycling, photography and running - he completed his first marathon in 2017 and is training for the next one in 2018.
