ActiNav - Updating the 3D sensor's firmware [Photoneo PhoXi]
This article explains how to update the 3D sensor's firmware for Photoneo PhoXi sensor

The PhoXi 3D sensor runs an internal software that controls the 3D image generation process. This software is called PhoXi Firmware. It is recommended to keep this software updated to its latest compatible version, which is specified in each ActiNav version's release notes along with a link to download the update file.
To update the sensor firmware, the scanner must be turned on.
Disconnect the sensor from the AMM and connect it to a laptop.
It is necessary to know the sensor's IP address. To get this address, install the PhoXi Control software (download link) in the laptop and open it.
When the sensor is connected to the laptop, it will appear in the sensor list to the left. Click on it to see the IPv4 address in its property list to the right. Write down this IP address somewhere else and close PhoXi Control.
Double click the firmware update file on the laptop to run it. This will open a console window. If it's the first time the file is executed, user might need to allow Windows firewall permissions.
Type the scanner's IP address into the console after the prompt.
Here's a short animation of the procedure
Make sure the update is finished and the result is OK before proceeding, as shown in the following picture:
Once the update finishes, the user can close the console window, disconnect the sensor from the laptop and reconnect it to the AMM.
It is necessary to restart the AMM's process after reconnecting the sensor. This can be done from Installation > ActiNav > System > Restart button (top right corner) > "Restart AMM Process" in the prompted combo box.
It might take a moment for the scanner to establish communication with the AMM. If the restart is done before communication is established, ActiNav might prompt a message saying that the sensor is not available. If this happens, restart the AMM process one more time.
