Resetting the default.installation file
One example of resetting the default installation in CB2 and one example in CB3.
Examples valid for all releases of their respective software versions.
The CB2 method can also be used for CB3 robots as well but will require a restart.
The user cannot edit files in the Run Program section so to make the necessary changes the user must be in the Program Robotsection.
For CB2:
- Select the “Program Robot” option on the main menu
- Go to File in the top left side, select the “Load…” option from the File menu
- At the bottom of the screen there will be a section called “Filter:” with a drop down menu. Select the “All Files” option
- Select the file called “default.installation”
- Delete the file using the scissors symbol and then selecting the delete option (For CB3 users: the scissors symbol has been replaced with a gear symbol.)
- Restart the GUI
For CB3:
- Select the “Program Robot” option on the main menu
- Select the Installations tab
- Select the “Load/Save” option on the left hand side
- Click the “Create New”, if popup apere then select "Create Installation" button then “Confirm Safety Configuration”
- Next click the “Save As…” button and select the file called “default.installation”
- Click “Save” then the “Overwrite File” option. This will successfully reset the installation file, no restart necessary.
