The 20kg Tool Flange Adapter was developed to ease the initial use of the UR20 as UR+ partners did not yet have end-effectors (tools) that could be directly attached to the UR20. To make optimal use of your UR30 robots, use end-effectors (tooling) that mounts directly to the UR30 tool output flange without any adapters.
Both UR20 and UR30 have the same tool output mounting flange.
A limited number of these 20kg Tool Flange Adapters were mistakenly shipped with UR30. This Tool Flange Adapter has a maximum payload capacity of 20kg over its life when used in a UR20 application. The adapter shall not be used in any UR30 applications. Failure to observe this instruction may result in waiver of warranty coverage.
Only 20kg Tool Flange Adapters used with UR30 robots are covered in this Safety Notice.

WARNING
Serious injury can result from use of the 20kg Tool Flange Adapter with UR30 and when the payload is above 20kg.
Overloading can cause the end-effector (tooling) and workpiece to break loose while the robot is moving.
UR30 customers are urged to discontinue using the 20kg Tool Flange Adapter with UR30s.
