Your UR Experience

Your UR Experience

Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MIR) will command a significant presence at this year’s Automate, collectively forming the largest exhibit area on the show floor.

Booth #4023 & #3623

Attendees can experience firsthand the companies’ commitment to helping customers increase productivity through a variety of applications demonstrated across three distinct industry-focused zones:

The Automotive Zone features a production flow utilizing the same type of automotive workpiece:

  • Painting: AI Automation will showcase an explosion-proof cobot that performs painting tasks, highlighting the ability of UR cobots to operate in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Dispensing: Mission Design presents dispensing applications, demonstrating a collaborative workflow where multiple cobots contribute to a single part's production.
  • Inspection: 3D Infotech will utilize a cobot and UR’s new AI Accelerator tool kit to inspect the same automotive piece assembled by Mission Design, enhancing perception capabilities for quality control.
  • Palletizing: The finished work piece will be palletized by Robotiq, showcasing the end-of-line capabilities of UR cobots.

The Electronics MFG Zone focuses on applications related to electronic components, along with a hands-on demo of UR’s new Optimove feature:

  • Soldering: Adaptive Robotics will perform cobot-assisted soldering of electric components, highlighting the precision and dexterity of UR cobots in intricate electronics manufacturing tasks.
  • Machine Tending: Using an AI Accelerator-driven cobot, Flexxbotics will show machine tending of electronic components with improved part localization.
  • Assembly: Acumino will feature a cobot trained to perform complex assembly of electronic components.
  • Stand Alone Demo: A cobot will be running OptiMove, UR’s new advanced motion control algorithm that dynamically optimizes speed and acceleration within hardware limits, resulting in smoother movements, reduced vibrations, and improved cycle times.

The Material Handling & Logistics Zone will feature combined solutions of Universal Robots and MiR in material handling, showing how pallet jacks and mobile cobots deliver a fully integrated autonomous intralogistics solution.

  • Palletizing/depalletizing: MiR’s pallet jacks automate the movement of pallets inside warehouses and production facilities, using autonomous navigation and an AI-powered perception system for recognizing pallets, even if they may be broken or imperfectly loaded. The new MC600 mobile cobot offers a higher total payload and a longer reach by using the UR20 cobot mounted on a MiR600 AMR.

This integrated solution will show MiR’s autonomous pallet jacks transporting pallets that are being palletized / de-palletized by the MC600.
