The ProLight is a visual indication, to reduce user hazards. A robot designed for collaborative operation shall provide a visual indication according to robotic safety requirements R15.06 and ISO 10218. The ProLight indicates with blue light that the robot is in operation, with red light a human interaction necessary and white light that the Cobot is off/no operation. This visualization ProLight ring is retrofittable for all types of UR robots: UR3/UR3e, UR5/UR5e, UR10/UR10e, UR16e. Additionally the ProLight has round edges to protect user of sharp-edged UR tool interface. Generally the ProLight reduces hazard for users.
The ProLight is for visualization and display of the operating status of the robot in two colours. The ProLight ring is attached to the robot by clamps. Before attaching, it is necessary to unscrew the protective cap of the tool interface, which Universal Robots applies as standard. No tools are required for this. The protective ring is slipped over axis 6 of the UR robot and fastened with clamps.
The ProLight is controlled via the digital outputs DO8 and DO9. The output DO8 controls the colour red and the output DO9 controls the colour blue. To use these outputs, an output voltage of 24V must be stored.
