Standard Cable Extension Options

Universal Robots offers varying lengths of robot cable, connecting the arm and control box. This allows for more flexibility when integrating the arm and controls. A 6-meter cable is included with any e-Series robot systems. With the e-Series Cable Suite a robot cable of 6 or 12 meters can be ordered.

Description

The Base Flange Connector allows for easy cable exchange, and enables easier servicing of the robot.
With the Base Flange Connector, the options are open for the user to select between cables that suit the application.
New e-Series robot systems delivered from September 2020 will have the Base Flange Connector, and older systems may have this added through service.

Universal Robots Toolpath Generator for SOLIDWORKS

SOLIDWORKS is a commercial CAD software package for designing industrial components. The 3D models developed in SolidWorks serve as a basis for G-code toolpath generation. Universal Robots’ Polyscope software contains the Remote TCP Toolpath URCap, which automatically generates robot motion based on imported G-code files. The purpose of this Toolpath Generator is to provide an easy-to-use approach for defining 2.5-axis toolpaths in SolidWorks. It also ensures the output from SolidWorks uses the correct syntax that is compatible with the Remote TCP Toolpath URCap. This product is provided to e-Series users free of charge. Remote TCP & Toolpath URCap

The Remote TCP Toolpath URCap makes it easier to program Universal Robots for process applications, such as dispensing, deburring, polishing, etc. First, this URCap allows you to set Remote Tool Center Points (RTCP), where the tool center point is fixed in space, relative to the base of the robot. Second, it is also able to automatically generate robot motion based on an imported G-code toolpath file. When the robot is required to follow a complex trajectory for a dispensing or deburring application, it is much easier to program the toolpath based on a part model in the CAD/CAM software that the user is already familiar with. The user no longer needs to spend a long time programming waypoints and circle moves from the teach pendant. This enables integration with 7th axis systems, allowing the robot to extend the workspace for tending multiple machines, welding larger workspaces or palletizing higher pallets. SRCI (Standard Robot Command Interface)

Standard Robot Command Interface (SRCI) is an open-standard for the command and data interface between a client Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a server (UR controller). SRCI adds an additional layer to PROFInet that allows the user to program the robot from the PLC. UR SRCI interpreter ensures a frictionless integration with Siemens PLCs, since Siemens is the first PLC Vendor supporting SRCI in the automation market. It has been released in two versions: Limited Release version URCap: Supports 20 Profile : Core functions and is free to use.
